Hi Shepherd - Thanks for sharing your Rainbow Music Hall stories with us. Oddly enough, the Psychedelic Furs was the loudest show I ever saw at the Rainbow, or ever (and I saw Motorhead!).

Some foggy memories: Max Headroom with Art of Noise, the Cure (I liked them much more than U2), and oh - somehow 3 Dog Night found out I had a Fender Twin amp and someone called me one late night and offered me 50 bucks to haul it to the Rainbow. I respectfully declined. Ebbetts Field and Rainbow were amazing venues, but the goons patrolling the ticket lines at the Rainbow were a bit heavy handed.

Hi Pin Rose - Thanks for sharing your Rainbow memories, especially regarding the security staff! With the benefit of hindsight I've come to appreciate them as folks who were tasked with a difficult job, but sometimes they were a little too enthusiastic when it came to enforcing the rules!

I remember when it was a new movie theater complex as a kid, even before it became the RMH. But I think I saw my first concert there for only $2 in 79 or 80 - Pat Benetar. Saw several concerts there in the early-mid 80s, quite a memorable time (at least what I can remember).

Loved Rainbow - saw Pretenders, U2 (for $3.25), Wall of Voodoo, The Members, etc.
