Pedestrians stand near the Aspen Building (while it was home to the Gas and Electric Company) on the corner of 17th (Seventeenth) Street and Tremont Place in downtown Denver, Colorado. The building is decorated with bunting and has a lighted sign of a woman who holds a key out to a donkey on the roof. Lettering on the donkey reads: "Democracy."
