I can't remember the name of the place, although my grandfather was a chef for Saltwater Dumas, but he used to cook/serve a whole roast pig. I remember a story on the news showing him bringing it out to serve (and I'd love to find that story!!!). I think it was on Colfax, but again, I was very young then.

Thank goodness for family. The name of the restaurant was Alpine Village Inn. Anyone remember that spot?

This is going away back and worth my buying the book:
Luigi's 38th and Tejon (ish)

Bill Bonsips Colfax and Niagara (ish) outdoor picnic tables, great burgers, fries, NOT fast food

The Paul Bunyon Restaurant way S. Santa Fe
The Northwoods Lodge (?) great potatoes baked in something like pine resin (?).
