thanks very much for the fairly comprehensive history of Baker — i learned a few things from it; i wish it had made clear that the historic district is not the entire neighborhood; there's a lot more if you ever get time to expand this history, for example Baker has a rich transit history (including a big part in the Tramway Strike), and there are notable omissions such Merchant's Park (especially since Broadway Stadium was north of 6th), Montgomery Ward, Gates Rubber, Lake Archer, and the migrant workers who wintered in the "bottoms" …
