Gay Pride comes to Denver next week, with the annual PrideFest, June 20th-21st. It is one of the largest pride celebrations in the nation, and this year Denver PrideFest celebrates its 40th anniversary this June. The Denver Public Library and the Western History/Genealogy department are proud to house several LGBT collections in our Central branch. From the organizational records of Equality Colorado, to marriage equality in Colorado, we have many collections of notable Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Coloradans. So, while you're celebrating your Pride, come on into the WHG department and explore LGBT history. And if you have personal or institutional papers to donate, call us at 720.865.1821, or email us at: history.denverlibrary.org. And we all know the weather is always sunny on Pride day, so Happy Pride day!
