Erin Sanders, I believe that we must be related then. William F. Cody is my great great great uncle as well. From my mom's side of the family. My grand parents(mom's parents) are from Nebraska also. My mom grew up and I believe she was also born, in Aurora, Colorado. A suburb of Denver. My oldest sister was also born in Denver while the other 3 of us were born here in Washington state in Seattle. I'm the youngest of 4.

I have heard many stories about this growing up. He is my Great great great uncle. Lol. I like to say @Thrice Great Uncle”. I have pics of my grandma on his porch in Nebraska and many family photos I, and my kids, one day will cherish. Thanks for this article. Always curious to see who believes what!

My mom and grandpa had a picture of buffalo bill and I was told he was my grandfather's uncle and godfather and I would like to get the picture back and put it in my house.

Our son lives in Golden, Colorado, We go to Lookout Mnt every time we visit...it is always part of the visit to hike to Buffalo Bills Grave site. Thankful for those good memories with our son, in a beautiful spot in Colorful Colorado.
