Two comments. I was finger printed, then denied at JC Penney’s when I attempted to apply for a CC and didn’t have a bank account in my name. I needed my husband to apply.
What’s going on with the group picture? Their hands disappear into the table..

My brother in law found share certificates, how can they be paid now that this bank has closed?

I'm 84, long-time feminist and have been trying to find bank checks with the womyns' symbol on them.... it's like poof, they're gone. I know I've seen them in the past, now....nothing (:
Does anyone know where I can buy them? pwpw63@yahoo.com

With appreciation I'm writing a comment because I simply was looking to see when the DOWNTOWN DENVER WOMANS BANK OFFICIALLY closed.
As it was in 1997 that my grandfather suffered a fall in the lobby. Having broke his ankle, he was out of commission longer than he should have been, then scheduled for surgery at St Joseph's hospital. Back in 1997.

However upon having surgery, the doctors didn't check his vitals and doctor notes in hospital records/ log.
Where they would have seen that he had recently eaten and administrating any anesthetic for such a proceedure
Would not be good for a patient undergoing surgery within the time frame they were attempting to do it in.
You see as far as not eating before having anesthetic given left him with negligent issuing of pre-op medication. That left him, after regurgitating and losing oxygen to his brain, in a childlike form for the rest of his life. Being that he, my grandfather, and my grandmother had a old-fashioned relationship whereas the man took care of the finances. Don't get me wrong my grandmother was very strong and very wise in her own right. However she was submissive to her husband as many were back then. Due to this a lot of finances and financial loss were only a tip of the iceberg that fell upon my family due to this fall in the lobby of the Colorado citywide women's bank. Left and think back about the thing that brought such turmoil, as if we needed more, to my young adulthood. And then the time that I need it guidance and help and attention going from teenager to Young adult my grandparents were highly occupied with their own things. Which left me to navigate on my own. Having celebrated, rather endured another year after my original birthday. Having no more family alive, I sit back and ponder well what was, and what I've made of it since.
I'd like to add that the building was beautiful I may be with him once inside of it. And enjoyed the architecture the skill the measurements the time and the care that was put into a building in downtown Denver. That is lost art in the world indeed.
