Here in the Western History and Genealogy department (WHG), we love a history mystery. So, imagine our excitement when these photos of some adorable children were found under a shelf while our new carpet was being installed. As much as we love historic photos, it would be even more exciting to find their owner.
The back of each photo is dated 2006, so at least one of these children is probably a teenager by now. I can only hope that these cute kids have grown up to be researchers in WHG and will recognize themselves while poring over our site.
This is spooky. I grew up with these kids, but they died in a tragic house fire in 1976... 30 years before these photos were taken!
The print date is 2006 (printed at a Walgreens). We don't know when the originals were taken, although the clothing provides some clues!
The 2006 on the back of the photos is obviously when the pictures were copied. More likely they were taken in the 1950s at the latest.
