View of the Lace House, Black Hawk, Colorado, an example of Victorian Carpenter Gothic architecture with board and batten siding, steep pitched roof with finials, arched-pointed windows, elaborate one-story veranda with balustrades, and decorative (gingerbread) bargeboard gable trim. The name "Lace" comes from the delicate, lacy detailing; the house was later refurbished and converted to a museum.

A stove sits next to a marble-topped cabinet in a kitchen in Central City, Colorado. The stove has an oven and a warmer with enamel doors. Two irons are on the range, and an assortment of bric-a-brac, such as a coffee grinder and plates, is on top of the stove. A sugar tin is next to the stove. Staple tins and utensils are on the counter. A small chest with ten drawers is next to an open doorway. Decorative items hang on the walls. A picture is on the wall in the background.

Keys of many different shapes hang on the back of a paneled door. Parts of furniture are visible of either sides of the door. There is a framed piece of embroidery with a cross, a crown, and "No no" hanging on the wall. The wallpaper is patterned with rural scenes surrounded by ornate decorative patterns.

Central City residence interiors

Straw and cloth hats hanging on a hatrack are reflected in an oval mirror in the Prosser house. Sunlight illuminates the left side of the image. The mirror has a rectangular frame and scroll-work around the edges. Another mirror is visible in the reflection of the mirror. An embroidered, framed picture hangs to the right. The wallpaper has a decorative pattern on it.

A double bed in the Prosser house is illuminated by the light streaming in through the lace curtains of the window behind it. The brass headboard against the window is decorated with spindles and curved brass. The brass footboard is arched and has decorative brass pieces inside it. A quilted spread is on the bed.

Exterior view of Charles N. and Josephine Miller's former residence, 127 West Carr, Cripple Creek, Colorado; This two-story Queen Anne style residence built in 1897 or 1898 has pitched roof porch with balustrades, and recessed and encircling porch; other characteristics include multi-gabled or triple gabled roof line, bay windows, tall stone foundation, bargeboard, scalloped shingling, and wire fence with gate around perimeter of yard.

Between 1874 and 1881 Hamill made various additions to the house and grounds. The image shows a metallic light fixture attached to a wall, with a curvilinear stem with a gas regulator which supports a textured glass globe. The wall and ceiling have subtly textured wallpaper.
