My Grandfather Jack Calabrese and his sons Jack, Phil, Joe, Tom and Anthony also raised Colorado Pascal celery back in the day. In fact we have some very old wonderful pictures of them with their celery. I heard how some of their celery was shipped to Perry Como! Also the Whitehouse if I'm not mistaken!

My Grandparents Mike and Mary Spera and their three children trenches celery every fall. My uncle went off to WW II, leaving Mom. Auntie, and Grandma to the hard work of trenching. I can remember the trenches and the stalks wrapped in newspaper.
