Jefferson Territory

Horse-drawn wagons are parked near buildings on Blake Street in downtown Denver, Colorado. Signs on the buildings read: "Wholesale Groceries," "H. Burton Storage & Commission," and "Missouri House." The hotel has other signs: "Bar Room," "Boarding," and long horned cattle are tethered among the horses. Water of the South Platte River is in the background.
