Scribes, Scholars & Storytellers Series Continues into April

The Scribes, Scholars & Storytellers series is in full swing....our next featured authors include:

Wednesday April 3rd @ 6:30pm Johari Ade Johari is a native of Denver. She graduated from Manual High School, and attended DU Law School. As a professional genealogist, Johari regularly conducts workshops and lectures. Her book, Ten Generations of Bondage: Eleven Generations of Faith, is a true story inspired by her own genealogy. Monday April 8th @ 6:30pm Pastor William T. Golson, Jr. Pastor Golson is a native of Denver Colorado and pastor of True Light Baptist Church in Denver. His inspiring sermons are heard on the Sunday radio program Exalting Our Savior Through Love and daily on the radio program The Enlightened Word. His latest published book, Good Advice From A Player, gives insight to both singles and married couples based on King Solomon’s advice, “he who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord” (Proverbs 18:22). Author will be selling copies of his book.

The Blair-Caldwell Library created the Scribes, Scholars & Storytellers series to assist and uplift members of the Denver African American community that are involved in or trying to break into the published field. We strive to offer material from a wide range of genres. This year we have an awesome variety of talent. 13 Denver based scholars, poets and authors who will be sharing their creativity ending May 22. Join us for an exciting series, promising a little something for everyone!
