Engineering Marvels of America: DPL’s Western History and Genealogy partners with American Experience of PBS

Moffat Tunnel, the Royal Gorge suspension bridge, the Eisenhower Tunnel, and the marble mine that supplied the Lincoln Memorial. Western History and Genealogy has photographs of many of Colorado’s finest engineering accomplishments. Now WHG is partnering with the popular PBS show American Experience to bring these photographs to the world on the Engineering Map of America. DPL is one of many partnering libraries and museums from around the country helping to create an interactive map of our Nation’s most impressive and enduring structures. Watch a short YouTube video about the Engineering Map and the accompanying films to air on PBS, such as The Rise and Fall of Penn Station (debuting February 18, 2014). Visit the Engineering Map of America to view photos and learn about our country’s engineering feats. Or, upload your own photos and tell your own stories of your town’s engineering marvels.
