The Shorthorn building, also known as the Goodwill building, was put on the National Register in 1979. It was destroyed by fire in 1990 and officially removed from the Register in 1995. Designed by architect Frank E. Edbrooke, the building was completed in 1890. It housed various businesses, a hotel, and specialty stores during its lifespan.
