Genealogist on Duty
Hitting a wall in your genealogy research or don't even know where to start? Need some in-depth time with a researcher? Then we have a program for you.
All of our librarians are trained to offer assistance and guidance getting you started with your ancestral quest. Once in a while you just need to sit down with an experienced researcher for some intense problem solving. We have some terrific volunteers who also happen to be master genealogists and are waiting for you to come and visit. Our "genealogists on duty" are available Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. through 1 p.m. Certified Genealogist Carol Darrow is available on Tuesday, Christine Cochran is here on Wednesday, Sylvia Doolos is the Thursday volunteer and Marilyn Edwards Roberts is waiting for you on Fridays.
Stop by and see what these problem-solvers can do for you!

I have been researching my GG Uncle Eugene Fausey for YEARS(Researcher alone for 12 years). I love it when Researchers help one another WITHOUT purchasing "just" a document w/o even seeing the information before they buy/receive it. Information I have had concerning this. Eugene Fausey b.:January 25th 1866 Sandusky County, Ohio Mother :Mary M.(Fausey)Beck Father: UNknown Marriage/Divorce:UNknown Died: July 31st 1906 Denver,Denver,Colorado(Reasons UNknown) Colorado.gov/research/archives-search: ID# 777346 Archive Location:R95 Origin:Denver Department of Health Internment: Fremont,Ohio. The body was shipped back to Fremont,Sandusky,Ohio for Burial. Many of us Researchers have known very well, States "only" started Records(Birth/Marriage/Divorce/Ship Arrivals/etcetc) beginning certain years. Any help, thank you very much. David
I am trying to help my Niece find information about her Father, Alvin Leroy Ogle. She only learned his name recently and we have determined that his mother is Bernice M Hart. We need to know Bernice's maiden name so we can pursue other leads.
Bernice M Hart was born in 1903 and died in June of 1967. Apparently there were obituaries printed in the DP and RMN on June 22, 1967. I am not computer savy enough to be able to bring these obituaries up on my screen so I can hopefully read them and identify Bernice's maiden name. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Hello Lyle,
We can certainly provide these obituaries for you. You can request them by submitting a request through our contact form (https://history.denverlibrary.org/contact-us) or by calling us at 720-865-1821. We'll ask you for a bit more information, particularly what the best way of sending you the obituaries would be. In fact, we receive quite a few requests of this nature, so we just ask that you be patient as it can take us up to 2-3 weeks to process your request. We look forward to hearing from you!
