Horace Elder Tureman was conductor of Denver’s Civic Symphony Orchestra, which later became the Denver Symphony Orchestra, and even later, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra . He conducted many performances in the years 1922-1944. Tureman attended West High School in Denver, and studied under Debussy in Paris in 1908. Horace Tureman’s collection is comprised of five boxes of handwritten musical scores.
