Michael Wise: Recipient, 2009 Fellowship in Environmental History

His dissertation examines the cultural and environmental histories of wolf eradication in the Montana-Alberta Borderlands, tracing these events alongside the regions corresponding histories of colonization and modernization. This fellowship is provided through the generosity of Joy R. Hilliard. Past fellowship recipients include Sara Dant, Megan Jones, Barry Muchnick, John Miles, Michael Yochim, William Philpott, Hal Rothman, and Sarah Thomas.
