Journalists Write the American West: C-SPAN 2's BookTV at the 2011 Tucson Festival of Books

 The Hoover Dam and the Making of the American CenturyEach weekend C-SPAN 2 devotes itself to nonfiction books. And this weekend at 2:30 PM (ET), BookTV offers a live panel discussion from the Tucson Festival of Books with three authors of new Western books.

Michael Hiltzik (Colossus: Hoover Dam and the Making of the American Century), Jeff Guinn (Go Down Together: The True, Untold Story of Bonnie and Clyde), and Stephen Fried (Appetite for America: How Visionary Businessman Fred Harvey Built a Railroad Hospitality Empire that Civilized the Wild West) take the stage to discuss their respective works. Copies of all three books are available for checkout from the Central branch or other Denver Public Library branches, or for use in the Western History/Genealogy Department.
