With all the snow in the Denver area the last couple days, I thought it would be interesting to see if I could "dig up" some related pictures throughout the city's history. I began to wonder, before the advent of snow trucks, plows, and wheel loaders, what was the optimal method of snow removal? By looking closely at the picture(clicking on link in summary), you can see the horse drawn wagons with the men trudging along doing the shoving and their four hoofed animals doing the hauling. It looks like arduous work, but the street in the foreground is wiped clean, so the method appears to prove to be effective. Great shot!
