Eat! Learn! Celebrate!

Colorado Genealogical Society celebrates 85 years of service to the genealogical community.

Founded in 1924, the Colorado Genealogical Society welcomes visitors and new members who want to share their  interest in family history and genealogical research.

On Friday, 19 June 2009 CGS will have a potluck supper, annual meeting and a program. The potluck supper begins at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to bring a dish to share. Plates, utensils and beverages will be provided. This will be followed by the annual meeting at 7 p.m. with the election of officers.

The program Family Heirlooms and Artifacts will be presented by members and will be kicked off by Lynette Dick showcasing her family history quilt.

Rumor has it a birthday cake celebrating its first 85 years will be presented [and hopefully eaten]. Colorado Genealogical Society has been a great friend and supporter of the Denver Public Library so join me as we wish them many happy returns of the day and many years to come!
