This week's Fab Find highlight is the records of Front Range: Women in the Visual Arts (WH 2186). Front Range: Women in the Visual Arts was an arts organization founded at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1974 with the purpose of encouraging and promoting art by women to find professional acceptance in a male-dominated art world.

I've enjoyed blogging about the newest members of our Archives Collection in the past, and I look forward to continuing that trend with this new weekly post. Check in on Fridays to find out about recent donations.

The Western History and Genealogy Department's Hispanic Acquisitions Committee does a great job of helping us develop our Hispanic archival collections.

Several individuals and organizations have donated archival material to the Western History and Genealogy Department in the last few months. Here are a few highlights:

We need your help! This mysterious photograph was purchased at a Denver antique store before being donated to the library, but the donor is not sure where or what the picture is of.

I've written before about some of the new collections that have been donated to Western History and Genealogy, but also important are the many donations of additional material to exisiting collections that come in.

 Sometimes finding a treasure is really more a matter of stumbling than strategic planning!

We are privleged here at WHG to have a large number of community members who sing our praises and help us bring in collections.

Last week I had the privilege of meeting Susan Boatright, daughter of famed Japanese author and journalist Bill Hosokawa (1915-2008).
