To celebrate Preservation Week, the Society of Rocky Mountain Archivists and the Denver Public Library Western History/Genealogy Department are providing short consultations for your family treasures with conservation experts.*  Archivists at the “Ask an Archivist” table will be able to talk about organizing and storing your family materials at home.

Staff from the Denver Public Library Western History/Genealogy Department will be on hand to digitize your artifacts as part of the new Colorado social archive Creating Your Community.

We receive a lot of fascinating items in the Western History and Genealogy Department. Usually they are in the form of manuscripts, books, journals, and maps, but sometimes they aren't paper at all.

Such as the Bronze Star Medal belonging to Lloyd Rule, a Denver photographer who served in World War II and the Korean War.
