Your flood damaged treasures can still be saved!

As the threat of flash flooding persists in Colorado, residents in affected towns and cities are being urged to seek higher ground.

Come join the Creating Your Community Team at the Four Mile Historic Park this Sunday from 10-4pm for the Living Local Event. The event will give you hands on experience to see how the agricultural and horticultural practices of Colorado Pioneers can be used in your daily life.

The Creating Your Community team will be there to help you scan and preserve your family heritage. So please stop on by the park! We promise the weather will be 100% better than today!

To celebrate Preservation Week, the Society of Rocky Mountain Archivists and the Denver Public Library Western History/Genealogy Department are providing short consultations for your family treasures with conservation experts.*  Archivists at the “Ask an Archivist” table will be able to talk about organizing and storing your family materials at home.

Staff from the Denver Public Library Western History/Genealogy Department will be on hand to digitize your artifacts as part of the new Colorado social archive Creating Your Community.
